March 1st - In like a Lion for sure!  Out like a lamb we can only hope for.  We had been having very spring like weather for over a week and then just had to get about 6 inches of heavy wet snow.  The moisture is appreciated that is for sure!  We started Zion on lessons with Starlit's teacher and he seems to be responding to that quite well.  Will keep you posted.  I came down with a bad cold on Friday so was (and still am a bit) very stuffed up and miserable.  The quartet sang Sunday morning in Turtle Lake so we pushed snow all the way there and I managed to sing some.  Then the first practice for the Easter Cantata was Sunday at 4:30 so Hollis, Jasper, Starlit and I went in for that.

March 7th - What a week!  More speech meets and of course more snow and wind.  The forecast for next week is for much nicer weather.  We had a crazy week at work, virus attacks and just a lot of strange things happening.  On Saturday Jasper and I went with my good friend Rick down to Gackle (100 miles East and South of Bismarck) to help him and his brother get ready for an auction they are going to have May 8th.  His father passed away last fall and they are selling everything off.  Quite an emotional ordeal for them.  Of course the biggest news is that we made a deal on a house in Bismarck on Friday!  Hope to close on the 31st and move on the weekend.  Will keep you posted.

March 15th - Oz & Delynne had their baby on Thursday afternoon and as expected, he did not live.  They named him Isaac.  Our hearts go out to them in this difficult time.  We had some nasty weather on Wednesday, a little snow and 60 MPH winds make for interesting driving conditions.  There were times when I was down to 5 MPH on the way home but I did arrive safely although there were lots of accidents reported and they had closed hiway 83 for a time.  It was a similar spring storm that sidelined the speech team on their way home on Saturday.  The house deal proceeds with paperwork galore!

March 22nd - Jasper and I went up to Three Hills for Isaac's funeral.   Times like these really make me realize what a gift children are and I vow to NEVER take for granted that gift!  Oz & Delynne seem to be doing as good as can be expected but please continue to lift them up in your prayers.  Soren is just as incredibly cute as he could possibly be and of course the center of attention.  There was not speech this weekend but there is a meet in Washburn today.  It is what they call the "Last Chance Meet" and if you have already qualified for state in your event (like Hollis has) you don't compete in that event so Hollis is trying a couple of new things out.  Supposed to sign all the final papers for the house this week but will keep you all posted.  The weather has been pretty nice.

March 29th - Well we are moved!  A lot of work of course and now for the un-packing and sorting things out.  We are going to have a rummage sale for sure!  Hollis did great in speech again!  Our new address is 1212 1st Street North, Bismarck ND 58501 and our phone number is 701-255-4640.
