October 4th - and does it feel like it!  We have had lows below freezing and highs in the 40's and that is too cold too soon!  Anyway this week is supposed to be in the 70's so that will be nice.  Jazmyn is a wonderful little addition to the family although a bit confused about when she should sleep!  Vanessa does a wonderful job with her!  The other kids are a big help and Zion is adjusting well.  He likes to play his violin for her (and for anyone else who comes over) and is doing quite nicely!  We had company over the weekend and celebrated the Feast of Tabernacles with them.  A couple from Crosby, who we had not previously met but had visited with via phone and email, Art & Betty Bjelland and Gary and Kay Asche  and 3 sons from Minnesota.  The kids enjoyed the company and so did we.

October 11th - Jasper is 14 today!  George came out on Thursday and stayed until Sunday - had a good visit and of course he thought Jazmyn was perfect.  The quartet sang on Sunday at a little country church north of Washburn and George went out there with me.  My parents arrived on Sunday evening and of course they think Jazmyn is wonderful!  Gordon, one of the guys I sing with, gave me a trampoline and we have been having a lot of fun with that.  The weather has been quite nice.

October 18th - Had a great week with my parents.  Jazmyn spent lot of time just sleeping on gramma.  We woke up on Sunday morning to snow.  Got about an inch so made snowmen and threw some snowballs.  Jazmyn continues to grow and change rapidly.  She has been getting a lot better about sleeping at night but does continue to have "fussy" periods.  Not sure if tummy ache or what.  Vanessa has been trying to watch what she eats.  Vanessa is feeling good.

October 25th - The weather continues to be nice (for fall at least) and Jazmyn is keeping us hopping!  She is growing like a weed and smiles a coo's quite a bit.  We have been doing the Infant Potty Training with her (like we did with Zion - only we started her at 3 days and not 3 months!) and she is remarkably in tune with that!  If we watch her she will go for us almost every time AND she seems to enjoy it.  Of course who wants to have wet pants!  We got Zion a bigger violin (he did not want to give up his little one but is adjusting to it) and continues to practice every day.  We have been using the trampoline a lot and will enjoy it while we can.
