Tim & Vanessa Lorentzen Family!

October 7th - Well the weather outside is frightful...... and the rest you all know!  We actually had some snow on Sunday morning although it did not last.  Jim & Martha and the Ould boys (as our kids call them) came down for a visit arriving last Thursday evening and staying through next Thursday morning.  The kids have been riding horse and going for quad rides (I pile em as high as I can in the trailer - 10 is the max so far with the other cousins from here thrown in the mix) and give em rides!  Working at Cloverdale has been a blast from the past!

October 14th - Well, I am an uncle again!  Oz called yesterday and they had a baby boy, Soren Michael Lorentzen born on Saturday the 12th.  Jasper was 12 on Friday the 11th and we had several days of celebrating that starting on the morning of the 9th which was the last day that Jim & Martha were here.  It has still been cold and windy but no more snow at least.  The tranny on the Suburban lost 2nd gear so that is not a good thing.

October 21st - Jasper & Hollis had a great book 1 recital yesterday!  It was a very rewarding experience to watch and listen to them play so well!  Amanda also did a good job on her recital and her gramma from Oregon and Aunt Crystal were here so it was very nice.  This morning there was ice and snow and slippery roads!  Over 100 minor accidents were reported in Bismarck and Mandan alone.  I drove carefully (and prayerfully) and made it to work OK.  The roads cleared up by noon but it is snowing again.  Did some work insulating and fixing the bathroom ceiling this weekend.

October 28th - John got the tranny on the Suburban together and it worked great the first time!  It was the second time that is not good!  Won't shift into overdrive for some reason or another!  Anyway, quite an expensive little project and it is not done yet!  We are going to try some adjustments but may have to pull the valve body and go through it.  Vanessa spoke at a ladies retreat in New Leipzig on Saturday and Starlit played her violin.  I went to Gackle to help Rick bring a car back.  The boys and I got the house winterized (plastic on the outside of the windows) we are supposed to get more snow tonight.  Ross & Janice went up to see Don & Vals new baby.  John turned 38 on Sunday (and it was dons birthday aosl) while my momm, Anitan and Jonathan also celebrated birthdays this week!  Party time!
