October 2nd - Well the annual Washburn art show was last weekend.  Starlit played for the folks on both Saturday and Sunday (I accompanied her on the mandolin) she did 9 songs and did very well!  Vanessa & Starlit had some entries and received several awards.  Last night we began the Feast of Tabernacles celebration.

October 8th - We partied and feasted for 7 nights!  We did not have the best weather for it but we persevered in spite of the cold! What an awesome Father we serve who delights in seeing His children delight!  We continue to pray for wisdom for President Bush and other world leaders in this time of military strikes and of course for the peace of Jerusalem.  This is a peace that will not come as man seeks it but only through the return and rule of Yeshua the Messiah!

October 15th - Well it is official now - Jasper is 11!  I told him that this would be the only time he would be 10 on the 10th and 11 on the 11th!  We went to the ranch (as we affectionately call the place) on Wednesday evening and had a party for him then on Thursday I took him out for lunch and we all went out for supper and had a great time celebrating Jasper!  Zion can sing Happy Birthday quite well.  It has been cold and WINDY (big surprise there I know) and I think that snow is on the way.

October 22nd - No snow yet!  We had a one day garage sale at our house for our friends Dave & Nadine and it was a total success.  Still going to the Y and swimming several times a week and that is a lot of fun.  Zion really enjoys the hot tub (and of course his father does also!).  Children are such a blessing and a great gift from the Father!  Thank you Father for blessing us with them!  I pray that they will also bless others.

October 29th - Had snow on Wednesday.  We only got an inch but Fargo got 5.5 and Grand Forks got 11!  Did some driving this past week - on Thursday went to Mobridge SD and back (210 mile round trip) then to Fargo and back (400 mile round trip) on Friday and Saturday!  The Institute for Creation Research people had a science workshop for K - 6 on Friday afternoon and then for high school ages on Saturday.  Vanessa could not go as she was helping our friend Nadine with a wedding reception so I drove both days.  The workshop was great!  The roads were OK and we saw George for a couple hours.
