November 4th - Starlit got a haircut!  She wanted to donate her hair to Locks of Love and help someone less fortunate.  She is into book 3 now!  A huge accomplishment!  Vanessa took her to a concert in Minot on Sunday Bow Fire and they had a great time.  I took the boys to Harvey with me and the quartet sang for a Lutheran church in the afternoon and then at the Old Folks home.  The weather is more seasonable than it had been.  Hollis, Jasper and I went plinking on Saturday afternoon and had an enjoyable time shooting up an old cardboard box.

November 11th  - Remember to thank the veterans that you see this week!  They were willing to fight for the freedoms that we enjoy!  I had an opportunity to hear Bill Gates speak this week and what a treat that was!  I was totally impressed to see that he has not lost his vision for Microsoft, and for what computers / software will be able to accomplish in the future.  The weather has continued to be nicer than it was for a while.  We will take it while we can.

November 18th - The Suzuki kids are Checking Coats at Symphony events this year so we went down and worked BUT also got to enjoy the Symphony on Saturday night.  Very nice weather.  Vanessa is enjoying teaching and the challenge / rewards that come with.  The Cloverdale gang continues to be a lot of fun!  It is sure nice to work in such a fun environment.  The music lessons are going well although with Zion it is a slow process.  It will pay off in the end but it is hard to keep that in mind when he acts like a 3 year old!

November 25th - Cold weather is here!  Deer season is over.  Jasper went hunting with grandpa Ross and had a great time.  Sure a lot to be thankful for at all times but it is nice to be forced to think about it when Thanksgiving comes along - a short (and not at all complete) list for me would be first and foremost my salvation -  my wonderful wife and children - godly parents and family on both sides - food and shelter - the gift of music - good friends and so much more!  Let us remember to be truly thankful and express that thanks! To God and also to those whom we are thankful for!
