May 7th - Nice rain but a lot of wind along with it. Things are greening up really nicely! Jazmyn is excited to go to the river but I have been telling her that it is still too cold. Moriyah turned 8 on Saturday and I took Zion and Jazmyn up for the party. Jasper is healing up nicely. Starlit did get a star at the state music festival (the highest ranking you can get) so she was pretty excited (and so were we) about that. May 14th - Mothers Day was a beautiful day! 83 degrees and nice. We went to the zoo in the evening with Ross & Janice. The afternoon saw the last Bluegrass Jam for the year. We did receive some rain early Monday morning and things are very nice and green. Starlit & May 21st - Some really nice warm weather (like 90 above) and then some cool weather (low of 47) so quite the swing. Had the privilege of seeing Starlit (and the other 43 performers) in the final Strolling Strings concert on Friday night and the we had the 1st Annual Butterfly Ball on Saturday night and it was a blast and a huge success. Click here for a web page with pictures and more information added this week. Jasper and Starlit are looking forward to the end of school as the last day is this Thursday. May 28th - Memorial Day! Nice to have a day off work - of course the weather was rotten most of the weekend. Vanessa & Starlit went to SD to see Holly, George came out here and we had a good time with him. The kids just love him (and so do we). We had a gathering on Sunday to celebrate Pentecost. School is out and Jasper starts his job on Tuesday. Our neighbor has a lawn care business and has hired him for the summer. We went to the ranch on Monday and had a nice meal with the crew. |
