May 2nd - Snow! Wind! Sounds like North Dakota! Yes we have had a week of ugly spring weather but we will take moisture in any form. Hollis has one week of school left and is in a play this Thursday and Friday. The guitar recital was last week and was really good. He played with the ensemble and then he and the teacher played a song. Gas prices came down for a week to $2.08 but are back up again to the $2.15 range. Still been walking but it has not been as much fun in this weather. May 9th - Rain (and wind) and a lot of it! Thank you
Lord! We had a good Saturday at the Heritage Center. A bunch of
locals pickers put together a day called Heritage Music and there were workshops
and jam sessions all day. Hollis is done with school except for
exams. He was in a play and did a really good job. I am working
nights this week (and last Thursday and Friday) as the gal who works nights is
on vacation. This is a picture of Zion and I riding bike. On
Saturday night I told him we would camp out and after the rain started we still
did! In the back of the Suburban backed into the garage! May 23rd - More nice weather. Getting some house and yard work done. Starlit played in a violin recital yesterday and then we went to 3 graduation open houses up in Washburn. Friday evening Vanessa, Jazmyn and I went to graduation in Wing. 3 graduates of which 1 was Ashley Wagner a girl that Vanessa taught violin. Had a good time. My good buddy Rick is moving to a different shop so the boys have been busy helping him. I have helped some as I have time. Jasper spent 2 days helping Holly scrape and paint on their house. Jazmyn is really into FOOD! What a character! May 31st - WAW! That would be What A Week! Helped Rick move the shop - helped Nick and Holly move - made a trip to Rapid City and back - towed Nicks car down and had the Suburban full of things we just could not get in the U-Haul. George came out for the weekend. Richard & Jan's oldest daughter Lisa died (she had epilepsy and had a seizure while home alone in the bathtub) on Sunday so pray for the whole family. She was 26. Byron & Yvonne, Estelle and Josiah and Paige with the triplets are up for a visit. Had supper at John & Darcy's last night with them all. Norman came up also so Grace had all 4 of her kids together. |
