June 11th - Wow!  I missed a week!  Starlit and Jenny and I did all the music for a wedding on Saturday the 2nd and that went well.   Hollis got married on the 5th (uff da) so now Jenny is part of the family! On Wednesday night we played at the first annual Brats Beans and Bluegrass in Bismarck and then Jasper and Starlit took off for the Peace Gardens for music camp.  They picked up Madison on the way and ran into road construction and nasty weather but finally made it.  Zion and I went up Friday afternoon.  Starlit and Zion both entered the competition this year and both took second in their divisions!  One of Vanessa's students competed also and took 3rd (I accompanied him) and we got the privilege of entertaining twice also and had Madison do a couple of numbers.  Made it home LATE as we had some car problems.  The AC compressor went out on the Suburban.  Vanessa left Saturday morning for training in Ottawa Kansas and will be gone 9 days.

June 22nd - well I missed another week!  Vanessa got home safely from her trip, around 1800 miles and we got back from our trip, around 1800 miles (left Thursday the 14th at 1:00 PM and got to Three Hills around 2:00 AM - spent a couple of days there and celebrated my nephew Lorentz's graduation and Old Hat played at the museum on Saturday and then had a little party for Hollis & Jenny on Sunday afternoon and then did a concert Sunday night and we towed back a really nice 65 Galaxie 500 leaving on Monday around 2:00 PM and getting home at 3:15 AM but everything went well) safely also!  God is good.  Hollis & Jenny went up separately and took an extra day and saw the sites.  Jazmyn enjoyed her grandma Lou a lot.  Uncle Oz has quite the project underway with a new house they are building in Three Hills.  Will get some pictures out here (maybe!)

June 25th - Hot and humid and no surprise it was the annual (even though they moved it from July to beat the heat) Missouri River Bluegrass Festival out at the Cross Ranch.  Too hot for Vanessa to go so we stayed home in the AC and Jasper and Starlit went up Friday night and then went to a wedding on Saturday and then up to the festival.  Took the kids up to Nelson Lake last night for the first time this year (we have gone to the river quite a few times) and the lake was nice and high.  We had a good and tiring time.  Things are looking lush for now but with ND weather we could still be in for a long hot dry summer so time will tell.  Vanessa is urgently looking at baby names ,that is weird :) isn't it!
