June 3rd - What a week!  Wednesday morning on my way to work I had a very strange thing happen.  Right by mile marker 98 (8 miles north of Bismarck on Hiway 83) I was just cruising in the Caravan (cruise set at 65 - listening to a teaching tape) when the drivers side window exploded!  What a shock!  Glass everywhere and I was sure glad that nobody else was with me.  Zion sits right behind the drivers seat and his seat was covered in glass.  Pulled over and cleaned out what glass I could and headed on in to town.  The only thing I can figure is that some kids were shooting .22 in the field and the bullet crossed the road and hit the window.  Thanks for watching out for me Heavenly Father!  This past weekend was Lewis & Clark days in Washburn so there was a parade etc.  We camped down by the river on Saturday night with Dave & Colt and got some really nice rain.  My best friend George Berg from Fargo now has internet access at work so I will need to say only nice things about him!  Love ya George!

June 10th - We had company - my long time friend Dan Utz and family stopped by on their way through to Canada and we had a great time catching up (well at least trying to) with them and what the Lord has been doing in their life and ministry.  Had a lot of rain Saturday night - awesome lightning and thunder.  We need the moisture but it would have been nice to have it a little slower!  My niece Pearl (Mike and Becky's second oldest) graduated from High School!  Congrats Pearl!  Wish we could have been there!

June 17th - Happy Fathers Day!  We had really nice weather for the weekend.  The days were warm and  some rain at night.  Saw an absolutely beautiful double rainbow last night!  A double portion from God!  He is so good to us even as we don't deserve it.  Not just on Fathers Day, He is the Father that keeps, guides, loves and protects us!

June 24th - The McLean County Fair was this past weekend in Underwood.  Starlit showed her quilt and got a red ribbon!  Starlit and I also entertained 3 times (1/2 hour each) and that was a good experience for us!  On Saturday it was hot and muggy so we cooled off in the river.  Well at least Hollis, Jasper and I did.  Zion & Starlit found a warm pool on the sandbar and had fun!
