January 5th - Happy New Millennium!  Praise God that He (and not man and his wisdom) saw us through the Y2K roll-over!  As a computer dude it is tempting to take the credit BUT I know who deserves it!  Zion is crawling all over and getting into everything!  He talks like crazy and expects us to understand him.  Hollis will be 13 on the 15th (hard to believe that I am the father of a teenager!) and he is a great friend and joy to be around.  Vanessa will be (??) on the 11th.  Grandpa Ross is going to be 60 on the 9th.

January 10th - Zion is 9 months old!  Growing like a weed and getting to be a real challenge to keep up with!  Grandpa Ross is officially 60!  Had a good party for him yesterday at John & Darcy's.  It is quite a group when we all get together.  11 kids under the age of 12 (Hollis will be 13 this Saturday) so no end of action!  Moryiah is a lot smaller than Zion but she is much more aggressive when they play and there is plenty of hair pulling on both sides.  Soon (I hope) they will realize what is causing the pain and they will stop!  Moryiah took a step last week - she is a real go getter although a little less talkative than Zion.

January 17th - Well it is official!  I am the father of a teenager!  It is hard to believe that 13 years have passed.  Where has the time gone?  I can only say that it has been a great time!  Having the God given privilege of being a father is wonderful!  We are going skiing this Friday and the kids are excited (OK, so dad is excited too!)  I am starting a business venture with my good  friend Jim Scheitel.  We have worked together on and off over the past 8 years - first at Cloverdale, then at WinData, then at TestNet and now together at CustomDataApps, Inc.  More news about all this as it develops.

January 24th - Went skiing on Friday and had a great time!  No one got hurt (that is not to say that I am not stiff and sore!) and although it was a bit windy it was fun!  Zion is cutting some top teeth and was sick for a couple of days but is feeling better now.  Overall we have been blessed by good health this winter.  God is good even though we are unworthy.  I can only say that it is awesome that His provisions for us is not dependent upon our worthiness to receive it!

January 31st - Well another month is gone!  Time sure seems to fly!  A new millennium has not slowed things down any.  The weather continues to be wonderful although we could use some moisture.  Makes me glad I did not invest any $$ in a snowmobile.  We have not had to shovel ANY snow yet this year.  On Sabbath we went and visited the mid-wife who delivered Zion and had a wonderful time.  They are a home-schooled farming family with very nice children.  Today was my last day as a full-time employee at TestNet.  I am now going to be working mornings here and afternoons at our new business.
