December 6th - What a great weekend!  We left for Minneapolis on Thursday afternoon and stayed with our dear friend Amy Dornbusch in Fergus Falls that night.  Got up and got to Minneapolis around noon.  Had a great time looking at (and purchasing stuff!) at 2 Jewish bookstores in St. Louis Park (a section of the "cities" that has a lot of Jewish people) then we got our hotel room and enjoyed a swim.  Zion had a good time (as did we all!)  lit our first night candles for Hanukah and then had some supper.  We drove around the section and when we saw a lit menorah we would stop and pray for those in the house, that G-d would bring them into His kingdom and that they would meet the true Light of the World!  On Saturday morning we went to the service at a messianic Jewish congregation called The Seed Of Abraham and it was wonderful!  That evening we went to a concert in downtown (right across the street from the Metrodome) of Barry & Batya Segal.  These people live in Israel and head up a ministry there called Vision for Israel we left there and went back to Fergus Falls (arriving around 12:45 AM) and then left at noon on Sunday to come home.  Like I said, it was great but tiring!

December 14th - Snow!  We received an inch of snow late last night.   The weather has been very nice and it was nice to see some snow.  People sure do drive cautiously the first snow!  (then they get crazy after that).  We really enjoyed celebrating Hanukah.  The Lord gave me a song and some insight into His instructions for His people (I will create a page with this information and post it soon!)  I am looking into what it takes to record the song and let it be playable on the web.  Keep looking here for more information.

December 20th - Cold!  Wind chills of -50 yesterday.  We do live in a place of extremes when it comes to weather.  On Saturday the kids were outside all afternoon sledding with temps around 30 - then Sunday it was 0 with 40 mph winds so it was cold!  Janice is continuing to do well.  She has been really enjoying being a grandma and is a real blessing to us.

December 31st - One more before the big event!  I have been EXTREMELY busy this past week and I apologize for not getting this out on Monday!  The weather has been very nice again.  All the snow has melted and it has been in the 40's for highs.  We will enjoy it while we can.  I have been busy today doing complete system backups and running Anti-Virus software on all the computers.  It looks like we are ready!  More next millennium!
