August 5th - John & Darcy have another girl! Born Saturday (8/3/02) at around 8:00 P.M. - 7 pounds 8 ounces. On Friday we had the joy of being involved in Sarah Reetz (the boys guitar teacher) marriage to Mike Jensen! The wedding, reception, and dance were a lot of fun! I did some music and Hollis sang a song at the reception and did a great job! The Suzuki guitar kids played 3 songs during the wedding and the Hollis & Jasper (well all of them) did super! August 12th - The baby's name is Savannah and she is doing fine. Don & Val came down on Monday and we had a great week with them. Went to the lake on Thursday with the whole clan. On Saturday Vanessa & I celebrated 21 years of marriage! Then I turned 43 on Sunday and what more can I say! Great week! August 19th - My brother David had a liver transplant on Monday night (the 12th) and although there have been some complications he is doing quite well as of yesterday! Continue to pray for him and for strength for the whole family. The boys and I helped grandpa Ross fix up the hay wagon and we hauled some hay but still have some to haul. The weather has been quite cool for August, feels more like October! Just follows along with the strange weather pattern we had last winter I guess. August 26th - David is doing better but still has a ways to go! Ross & Janice took Gramma Grace and Starlit down to Indiana to visit and celebrate Byron & Yvonne's 45th anniversary! Starlit is having a great time but we sure miss her. Went to the lake yesterday and was pleasantly surprised at the lack of people! Had a good time. The weather has been nicer. |
