April 3rd - Snow!  We woke up to 3 - 4 inches of wet white stuff!  Supposed to get more but it won't last long.  The weather has been colder and windy.  We (Hollis, Jaidra, Zion and I) went to the end of the month horse sale on Saturday to get rid of some geese (4) and 1 rabbit.  We got rid of them all finally!  We were there for ovcer 8 hours and the wind was wild!  Gusting to over 40 mph at times.  Hollis and Jaidra were pretty red faced from all the wind.  Zion and I stayed inside.  Vanessa and Starlit went to the local ballet companies presentation of Cinderella to celebrate Nadines birthday.  Treasure went also and they all enjoyed it.

April 9th - Well what a week and weekend!  We had lots of rain on the weekend and celebrated Starlits birthday and Ross & Janices 40th anniversary on Saturday!  Then on Sunday we had our friends the Schneiders up for a Passover celebration and had a great time.  Woke up to about 3 more inches of white slushy stuff this morning but it won't stick around.  Zion turns 2 tomorrow so more excitement on the way.

April 16th - Well, Zion had a great time on his birthday!  He loved all the attention and opening presents.  We have had cool and windy weather with rain (but no more snow at least).  Late Friday Holly decided it would be a great idea for our 2 families to go to Rapid City to visit Nicks sister and family so on Saturday about 9:00 A.M we all (11 of us) piled in the old Ford van and headed south.  The wind was quite contrary (blowing steadily from the North/West at about 30 mph) but we made good time and arrived safely.  As soon as we hit Rapid City we developed an antifreeze leak (a heater hose connection went bad) and were able to repair that at Mark & Loris place.  Would not have been too handy to have it happen out on the road.  We had supper with and visited with them and some friends they had made (that Vanessa & I had met at the SD home school convention last June!) and that was good.  Not too much good sleeping occurred but we all survived.  Then on Sunday we got up and went to Mount Rushmore for breakfast and to enjoy the place.  I have seen it often but it still impresses me.  Everyone enjoyed it and we got safely home last night around 9:00 P.M. after fighting still more strong winds.  It was a fun trip but as always it was good to be home.

April 30th - Well, I am a bit surprised!  I put some stuff out here last week but I guess I did not save it or something as it is not here!  Well we are still here and experiencing the changes in weather that ND is famous for!  It was 90 on Saturday as Hollis and I helped a friend move (so much for that nice cool spring day to move) but one thing was the same - it was windy!  Zion got a haircut and lost most of his curls but he sure is looking grownup and is proud of his haircut.  Last weekend Rapid City had 20 inches of snow!  I am thanking the Lord that it did not come while we were there.  We only got some rain but not the snow.
