September 6th - Had a wonderfully tiring time a weekend ago at the Women's Prison, so tiring that I forgot to update the website about the whole thing.  Jasper and Starlti came up and we had a great time at the prison.  About 50 women came forward at the invitation with many making first time commitments for Christ.  Then this past Thursday - Saturday we spent with the kids again at the JD Crowe Bluegrass Festival down by Wilmore KY and had a really good time meeting new friends and seeing some old ones as well.

September 12th - The weather has turned quickly into nice fall weather.  I am liking it!  We could use some rain. Gas prices are on the rise.  Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families who lost loved ones 10 years ago in the 9/11 attacks.  The drive to work has been alright although there are sure a lot of cars on the road so your prayers are appreciated as I drive.  We are slowly adjusting to a routine without Jasper and Starlit.  Zion is a big help and is really growing up  Jazmyn turns 6 this week on the 16th and we are already celebrating!  Of course she has been looking forward to this since her last birthday.  She is experimenting with the piano and really enjoying the violin and schooling.

September 22nd - Well, time sure flies when you are busy!  Starlit came home Thursday evening (Jazmyn's birthday - good times were had by all) bringing 4 of our "new" kids with her, the room mate, Brittany Burden, and the 3 May boys. Jasper did not come as he went with another friend up into Ohio, then over through Pennsylvania, down into West Virginia and then home.  It was a good time of music and fun!  On Saturday I got Starlit a new phone as hers had died, got a mirror and window for the van (Jasper had a mirror incident on the way home the weekend of the prison ministry and we gave up on any insurance) and got it put in with some help from Isaac May.

September 27th - Jasper and Starlit came home and brought another stray with.  Bobby Earl Whittaker III - he is in there ensemble for the school and they played Fruday night in Lexington.  Then we played Saturday night at Little Grantville and he played with us (he plays banjo and guitar and sings real well) then Sunday morning we did a church service in Henryville and back to Little Grantville for a 2:00 show.  Zion, Jazmyn and Vanya all participated in the children's talent show and did really well.
