September 5th - Long weekend and much work done! Jasper and I put a hardwood floor in the camper. Turned out pretty nice. The weather was rainy on Saturday but we had the canopy out and had our saws etc under that so it was fine. Gas prices have come down from $3.10 to $2.70 here and George told me they are down to $2.50 in Fargo. Would sure be nice to see a long term reprieve from high gas prices. Jasper and Starlit are surviving and adjusting to grade nine. Please lift them up in prayer as this is a major transition for them. Hollis & Jenny are still not set on a wedding date so likewise keep them in your prayers. Lessons begin for Vanessa this week. She has some new students and is quite excited. The ECE class will begin next week. September 11th - Gas is down to $2.40 and we have had nice cool weather. The Bismarck Tribune ran a nice article with a great picture of Vanessa and Jazmyn in the Tuesday (the 5th) edition and Vanessa received many phone calls for the Infant/Toddler class! Jasper & Starlit are still in adjust mode (OK we all are!) but seem to be enjoying the challenge. As I think back 5 years to that awful day it seems like a lifetime ago. Time sure goes by quickly and seems to be accelerating as I get older. No wonder life is such a "whirlwind" for George! Well I suppose I better run. Updates on Jazmyn's birthday party next week. September 18th - Jazmyn is 2 and did she have fun! George
came out for the weekend and we had a wonderful time. The weather turned
cold and rainy but that did not dampen the party. On Thursday evening
Vanessa had her first infant/toddler class and had 14 kids! It was pretty
wild but really neat to see the kids react, and of course the parents reaction
to the kids! Gas is still at $2.40 here but down to $2.28 in Fargo so it
would sure be nice to see it fall even more. |
