October 12th - Well I missed a week there, wonder how that could have happened?  Ha ha! Grandpa Lorentz and Grandma Lou stayed for 9 days and it was really good to have them here.  There was a work team that came and sided the addition so it looks great on the outside but still has a ways to go on the inside.  We have been haying again and have had nice weather.  Gas prices are down (but still too high) and Janice is doing remarkably well.  Jasper and I took a trip back over to Illinois and picked up the 3 horses that Uncle Lee had.  The are really nice registered American Paint Horses.  Aunty Lynn wanted to keep them in the family.  Starlit is loving her job at the local Tea House / antique store.  They are only open Thursday and Friday so it is a nice work schedule for her.  Violin lessons are going very well and both Zion & Starlit are taking lessons.  Jazmyn is beginning to be interested again and Vanessa will be working with her.

October 27th - Where does the time go?  Well fall is here and cooler (I can't really call them cold!) temps as well.  Should hit a low of 32 tonight.  We have done a lot of tree cleanup and things are looking good.  Not much happening on the addition, need to get plumbing and electrical done so waiting on that.  There were well over 100 people that showed up on Saturday for a memorial for Uncle Byron, it was a year ago on the 24th that he died.  Gramma Lou, Anita, Jonathan and my aunt Mavis all had birthdays this past week and before that Jasper turned 18 and Duvon turned 50!  The horses are adjusting well and getting a lot of attention from the kids.  Hollis and Jenny are still anxiously awaiting (that sounds familiar) the arrival of the little grandson.  Of course Vanessa is not impatient at all (yeah right!)
