November 3rd - We have been having very nice weather with highs in the 70's - this should last for a week I  hear and we will take it while we can.  Jasper, Starlit and I went to the women's prison in Madison twice this weekend and helped out with Prison Fellowship there.  Quite an adventure and much good work was done!  The horses are adjusting well and sure look nice.  Vanya is getting into everything and wants to walk everywhere.   She is quite the character.  The leaves are beautiful and they just keep falling.   We moved cattle on Saturday and that went very well.  Starlit has joined a Davidic dance team in Scottsburg and they performed Saturday night in town.  It was a very enjoyable program.

November 10th - The beautiful leaves are falling like snow.   We continued to have weather in the 70's until Friday and now it is more seasonable (high of 48 Sunday and low of 30) so still not what I call cold!  Nothing really for precip either and we do need that.  Gas is down to $1.99.9 in town and some places I hear are $1.95.9 so that will be nicer for heading back to ND to see the baby.

November 17th - Hanz Byron Lorentzen weighing 7 lb 5 oz and 21 inches long arrived in Bismarck ND 11/12/2008 at 2:27 PM!  Some pictures are on the front page and here are more Vanessa, Jasper, Jazmyn and Vanya left here that morning at 6:30 and 20 hours later were in Bismarck.  Starlit, Zion and I will be leaving this coming weekend to go up and spend the next week over Thanksgiving.  Things have cooled off here some and the leaves are pretty much gone.

November 30th - Wow!  It is hard to describe this being a grandpa.  I suppose for people whose own children are pretty much grown up it is totally different but for me it is hard to hold the little guy and process that he is my grandson.  At any rate it is amazing!  Birth, the gift of life and the wonderful God we serve who makes it all possible.  Starlit, Zion and I left Indiana Thursday evening (the 20th) at 8:45 and drove straight through so it was a long drive.  It is 1170 miles from here to there and gas prices were as low as $1.549 on the way back.  We had a good Thanksgiving at John & Darcy's.  My good pal George came out from Fargo and grandma Lou (and grandpa Lorentz) came down so it was a wonderful time.
