June 8th - well something happened to the old news page (not old news but the page that the news was on) so I am going to start again here.  On the last weekend in May we went to the horse sale and grandpa bought 3 horses.   A 4 year old nice looking mare, a 4 month old colt, and a 2 month old colt.  The kids are enjoying working with the colts and all are learning things.  This past Saturday was April's (Holly's sister) wedding and on Friday morning at 7:00 we were all surprised by Don and kids and fiancée Val showing up!  It was good to see them if only for a short time.

June 14th - Zion weighs 12 1/2  pounds now and is really into talking (well you know what I mean) we continue to receive rain.  Even the tops of the hills are looking very green and lush.  Janice has been plagued with bad headaches and struggling quite a bit.  They say it is from too much of some of her medication so they are cutting back.  Please continue to lift her and Ross up for strength, wisdom, and perseverance.

June 16th - Janice is feeling some improved.  Zion slept all night (until 5:30 AM!) so that would be cool if it continued.  Here are some pictures.

June 21st - Just had a great (although tiring - got home at 1:40 this morning) weekend in Weyburn Sask.  Attended a seminar given by Ed Chumney - check our his ministry here   and see his picture below called For the Love of Zion and it was just a wonderful time of having the whole coming of Messiah and other Biblical events explained in the context of the Jewish culture.  One of the things he shared on is how the feasts that God gave His people foretold the coming of Messiah (both first and second - the first were fulfilled completely!) and so much more.  He has written 2 books, one about the feasts.   Prayerfully consider investigating this information further as I feel strongly that this is the key to a much richer understanding of who Messiah is.  Janice is feeling some better - PTL!  Zion continues to grow and is a lot of fun.  The flower beds we built around the house are coming along quite nicely.  Still very wet here but looks like this week we will start to see summer temps (in the 80's and lower 90's) so that is more like North Dakota in the summer.

June 28th - Had some awesome weather this weekend!  We were coming home from Bismarck on Friday evening a bit after 9:00 and a VIOLENT storm hit!  We were 2 miles out of Bismarck and had to pull over because you could see absolutely nothing.  It was a complete black out.  They recorded winds of 80 - 100 mph and I am confident that it was only Gods hand upon us that kept us safe.  The severe part of the storm lasted for almost half an hour with many roofs torn off in Bismarck and trailers destroyed.  Further up the highway as we went home there was a large travel trailer flipped on its roof right in the middle of the road.  Vanessa and I read from the last 5 Psalms and sang and praised God while He took care of us.  It had been 95 early on Friday and the rest of the weekend it did not reach 70 so we experienced some extremes in the temperature also.  Gramma Grace arrived safely on Tuesday evening and will be here through August.  It is good to have her back.  Janice is feeling OK but gets tired very easily.
