June 7th - Had a great weekend at the Little Grantville Bluegrass Festival. Played Saturday night and Sunday afternoon. Zion played on Sunday and did one song as a solo and then 2 duets with Starlit. Jazmyn played and sang and Vanya brought the house down singing Spirit of The Living God - I knew she could sing it but was not sure she would but she did a great job! It was our first trip with the motor home and it worked well. Water storage on those is always an issue so training kids to use water sparingly is in order. We had a big upset at New Life as one of our key people, Doug Lark, was let go this past week. Pray for this situation please.
June 14th - Spent 4 days just across the river from Cincinnati at the Kentucky United Methodist annual conference. New Life had a booth there. Talked to some good people. Vanessa and the 3 younger kids came with and they went to the Creation Museum one day. Starlit was in Michigan with friends so Jasper and Buddy were all alone. Hard to tell which one took it worst although it had to have been Buddy, Jasper did eat! Saw some really neat places down by the river and Friday night went to Rabbit Hash Kentucky they were having a barn dance and a Cajun band was playing. Interesting music but we did not stay long as it was hot and humid and the little kids were tired. Got home Saturday and went up to Hayden to play at the Junefest, there was a nice crowd. Sunday Vanessa spoke at the local church we attend here and brought a really good message on "Higher Ground" she might email you a copy if you ask. Please continue to pray for guidance for us.
June 21st - Hot and humid! Rain at night + 97 the next day = UGLY humidity levels! And summer just started. Oh well, no use to complain, God is in control of all things. We went back in and started recording our Gospel CD and got 5 songs down this past weekend. Please continue to pray for guidance for us. Jasper & Starlit are looking at school options and many decisions need to be made.
June 28th - Well, we have made a decision to move! I have been offered and accepted a job just south of Louisville doing tech support and perhaps moving into sales with a Medical Billing software company. Our good friends Tom & Judy Clark own the business and had actually offered me a job last year but the timing was not right. Now with Jasper and Starlit going to college in Kentucky the time is right. We will get in state tuition by moving for a job and although they will still be about 3 hours away, it will be closer. Been haying like crazy here and looking for a house down there. I start the new job in July 12th . Will keep you updated as we go.
