July 6th - What a huge weekend!  First off I made a quick trip on Thursday down to Spearfish South Dakota to see some old classmates.  Our class was having its 20th reunion over the 4th but I was not going to be there so I went a day early to get together with some of them.  What a blast from the past to see people you had not seen for 20 years!  Made me realize how awesome God is and how good He has been to me.  David and family showed up (with gramma Blanche) for supper Friday night.   We went to Mandan on Saturday and did some shopping.  Then on Sunday (the 4th) we went down for the big parade and stayed for the fireworks.  They put on a really neat show at the capitol grounds in Bismarck with the symphony playing and then finally the fireworks when it gets dark.  Then on Monday we went to Nelson Lake and got in some tubing and then had a big supper with all the clan down here.

July 7th - Zion weighs 14 pounds and 12 ounces!  He is really into "visiting" and went swimming yesterday for the first time.

July 12th - Had another big weekend!  Turtle Days in Turtle Lake so we went to the parade.  John had a float in in to advertise his business.  Then we stopped in Wilton to see the car show they had during their 100 year celebration.   Some great cars!  Should have had the camera along.  Then on Sunday Jasper went along with me to New Rockford as the quartet had the morning service at the Evangelical Free church and then sang at Duane's (the lead singer) parents 50th anniversary celebration.  The weather has taken a turn for the warmer!  Supposed to be in the 90's all week.

July 19th - Wow!  All I can say is there is never a dull moment!   Zion weighs 16 pounds.  Made a rapid trip to Fargo Friday night to tow my buddy Rick's car back.  He blew the engine on his way back from Chicago.  Jasper and I left Washburn at 4:30 and 9 hours later were home again.  500 mile round trip and had to stop and pick up a tow dolly.  Gramma Janice turned 61 on Friday.   The grandkids had a party for her Thursday night.  They did a lot of work and did a very good job.  My parents arrived Saturday afternoon for a couple days and then they will be taking gramma Blanche back home to Montana on their way home.  My aunt Jean from Anchorage was here on Sunday with 2 of her grown children (Mark and Amy) so it was good to see them.  My sister Anita arrived late Sunday night.  We have had a busy time with lots of company and just been rejoicing in Gods goodness to us.

July 26th - Anita and Alex left Friday morning to go home to Winnipeg.  It was sure good to see them!  Janice had some cousins from Minnesota stop by Saturday afternoon and stayed overnight.  Had a good visit with them.  Other than that we stayed home all weekend and just sort of relaxed!  Something new and different but sure felt good!
