February 5th - More wintery weather. Like 10 - 15 below with 30 MPH winds! Now that is cool! Or downright cold and dangerous. I spent 7 hours Friday serving up hot dogs for Cloverdale at an indoor (now that was a good idea!) car show. Riverwood RV's sponsored a fund raiser for cancer research and Cloverdale donated hot dogs and people to serve them up. They have about 70 nice vehicles. 2 that grandpa Lorentz would have loved, one guy had a 35 Ford pickup and a 35 Ford coupe (and no I did not get any pictures) that were restored to original and nice! Then on Saturday we spent all day at the mall promoting the Suzuki School and that night Zion, Jasper, Starlit and I went to the Bobcats game (NAHL team we have in Bismarck - I got 4 tickets for my volunteer work on Friday so that was nice) and it was a good game. It always helps when they win! We also won a hat for Zion and a one night stay at a local hotel so will probably have a pool party or something. Vanessa is still doing fine and school and all for the kids is coming along. February 12th - Love this weather! This has been the most snow we have had in many years. On Saturday night we played for a steak dinner that was put on after a Bull sale. Had a great time and played for about 1 hour and 45 minutes. Jasper and Starlit both did very well! On Sunday Jasper and Starlit went to Minot and volunteered at the Frozen Fingers Festival and enjoyed some good music. I took Zion and Jazmyn out snowmobiling for a while and Zion and I took in a movie. Work continues to be a challenge but a lot of fun over at the Country Store. Vanessa had about a 24 hour period where she felt very sick but then came out of it so that was an answer to prayer. Continue to lift both her and the baby up in your prayers. February 19th - Well the weather can sure change in ND!
Thursday morning it was 34 below and then on Friday we had some light rain in
the morning followed by about 3 inches of snow. That was a nice
mess! Then on Saturday the kids and I (along with 8900 other people)
reclaimed the World Record for making snow angels. February 26th - Another month is gone and George is older! Vanessa and I drove out to Fargo Wednesday for supper with him and his wonderful sister Mary Alice. We had a busy week as Vanessa hosted (planned and did the whole thing) a bridal shower for Jaidra on Saturday. 35 - 40 women & girls showed up in spite of the rain and slippery roads and all had a great time. Jazmyn got sick Friday night so I spent most of the day sitting with her. Sunday morning Jasper, Starlit and I went to Mercer and did the morning service for the Mercer Baptist church and had an enjoyable time of fellowship. |
