December 5th - Hollis, Jenny and Hanz went home on Thursday. We had a great time with them! We had some snow on Saturday, about 2 inches of it. Zion & I have played for our good friend John Lowry while he does a chalk drawing a couple of times and Zion has done a great job. We do another one this Monday at the seniors housing in Scottsburg. We all took turns having the flu (including Hollis and Jenny) so that was not so much fun! All feeling better now.
December 19th - Well, a lot happens in 2 weeks! Vanessa and the kids all headed for ND on the 10th - Jasper and Starlit were done with school so they headed out. They arrived safely. Ross and Janice left on Sunday the 12th as Janice was having some problems. They think they have that under control now and she is improving. We have had snow/rain/ice here and it has made things rather interesting. It is weird having no one in the house and I don't like it a bit!
December 26th - Thank you Father for giving the gift of your Son! I had an uneventful Christmas but it was nice. Spent time with Aunt Yvonne and family. Went to several church programs and really enjoyed them. Went with John Lowry to carol at the Scott County Jail on Wednesday evening and that made me realize that what I had thought of as being alone at Christmas was nothing compared to being locked up. God is good, kind, patient and full of grace and I am thankful! Will be flying out the 31st and heading to Calgary to meet up with Vanessa and the kids to have a New Years celebration with the family up in Alberta. Janice is home from Rochester but in a bad way so please keep her and all the family in ND in your prayers.
