August 5th - Much work has been done on the addition.  Nick, Holly and the kids were here for a week and all enjoyed that.  We played at the Jackson County Fair and had a good time.  The weather has been hot & humid with a few thunder storms sprinkled in here and there.  Vanya can walk a few steps and loves books.  Jazmyn is eagerly anticipating her birthday next month (actually has been since her last one) so excitement always.

August 11th - Wow!  Married for 27 years!  God is good and has blessed me with a wonderful wife.  I turn 49 today, that seems pretty weird.  I went with Dan Utz to a prison in Branchville on Sunday and had a great time ministering with him to the guys there.  Work continues on the addition and the shingles should be put on this week.  Please continue to pray for wisdom and direction for our school year and for New Life.  Vanya is walking more and jabbers like crazy.  She can say book and make the sign for book (and she LOVES certain books) and it is a lot of fun to read them to her.

August 18th - Shingles are on so let it rain!  Work progresses slowly on the addition.  We are waiting for the windows and doors to come in.  It will be really nice when it is finished!  Jasper and I were moving bales this weekend.  Seems like there is always something to do.  School started last week (Uffda) and Jasper and Starlit are doing Penn Foster to earn a High School Diploma.  Jazmyn is looking forward to her birthday still.  A new member to the family this weekend as my nephew Lorentz got married up in Three Hills.  One of the other guys here has a small popup camper and Zion, Jazmyn and I slept in it - camping in the yard!

August 25th - Heat and humidity are back!  Still no doors and windows to put in.  Vanya walks and climbs and gets into stiff like crazy.  She will point to the back pack carrier and say "back pack - go go" she loves to ride in it.  We sang and the Leota Frolic (a local weekend event that has been going on for 26 years just 5 miles up the road) on Saturday and sweat like crazy!  Zion entered the talent contest for kids 11 and under and won the instrumental portion so he was psyched.
